   Lopburi is approximately 153 kilometers from Bangkok, tourists can travel to Lopburi in several ways in term of  by car, bus and train. Lopburi is a province with a long history. Transportation


By Train
The State Railway of Thailand has a train from Bangkok Railway Station (MRT) to Lopburi daily.
     For more information about travel and ticket fare of the State Railway of Thailand, tel 1690 every 24 hours or check on www.railway.co.th. You can book a train tickets at least 3 days before departure date, please call 0-2220-4444 daily 08.30-16.30 hrs.

By Car
   From Bangkok go along Phaholyothin road, highway 1 through Saraburi, Phutthabat district into Lopburi province. The distance is approximately 153 kilometers.

By Bus
There are regular bus, air conditioned bus from transportation company and the private sectors bus Bangkok - Lop Buri departure from Mochit terminal 2 Kamphaeng Phet 2 everyday. Getting Around Lopburi






  In Lopburi city, there are omni buses to various districts. Visitors can choose from a variety of leisure vehicles. City buses are also available, it costs 4 baht per passenger, Sam-Lor, bicycle-pulled carriages, will go anywhere in the old town for 30 to 50 baht. 1 King Narai National Museum
This museum is located within Phra Narai Ratchaniwet, which is a royal palace built during the period of King Narai who ruled Ayutthaya during the late 1600’s. It is the third oldest national museum in Thailand established in 1923, and shows arts and antiques as well as exhibitions in 4 separate halls. This place is a must-visit when you come to Lopburi since you can discover the history of arts in Lopburi and some interesting factors in this museum. 2 Phra Prang Sam Yot
Phra Prang Sam Yot is one of the most important historical sites in Lopburi. It was built as a Hindu sanctuary during the period of the Khmer King Chaiworaman VII when the city was under the power of Cambodia, and later converted to a Buddhist temple during the period of Ayutthaya. As Lopburi is best known as the hundreds of monkeys living around the city, you can’t miss this place! Because you can see a lot of monkeys there. Just be aware that monkeys would steal any of your belongings they see, and don’t forget to keep everything inside your bags. 3 Wichayen House
This place is the ruins of the royal reception house for the French envoy who visited Lopburi during the Ayutthaya period. Wichayen House consists of several European style buildings. You should visit this place because it is an interesting ruin site where you can see the mixture of European and Thai style of architecture. 1 Chom Wang, Fang Dontri



 Lopburi Symphony
 The Tourism Authority of Thailand will organize the "Chom Wang, Fang Dontri" live band performance at Narai Ratchaniwet Palace in Lopburi. There are cultural performances shows and instrumental music in Phra Narai Ratchaniwet Palace with the historic atmosphere at night. Along with Traditional Market to shopping local products and souvenirs.

2 Monkey Buffet Festival
This festival is held annually in the end of November in San Phra Karn, Phra Prang Sam Yot. There will be a lot of foods and drinks, such as fruits, candies, and cokes, served for monkeys on the day of the festival, and it is the main attraction for tourists to visit in Lopburi.

3 Sunflower Field
Lopburi is also known as beautiful fields of sunflower which broom between November and December. There are two main sunflower fields where you can go and see the beautiful sunflowers. And then you can enjoy taking pictures with sunflowers on the back ground. Best season: November to December How to get there: You can take Tuk tuk from the city of Lopburi to Amphoe Khok Samrong, and tell the driver that you want to go to sunflower field or just show the map.
